The Lighthouse Bistro
No visit to the Anglesey Sea Zoo is complete without enjoying something yummy inthe Lighthouse Bistro. You can also visit the Cafe without enjoying the Aquarium (although we think that this would be a shame), however, while fish dodging and waiting for your freshly prepared meals, you’ll just have time to look around Anglesey's Best Toy Shop, which is just next door.
The Lighthouse Bistro is the perfect place to enjoy light snack or a full meal made from local ingredients. All of our ingredients are sourced ethically with attention paid to both their provenance and the distance they travel to reach us. Most of our staple ingredients come from Anglesey itself, for example, our bread is either baked on site or at a local bakery around four miles away, our eggs come from a farm around eight miles away, all of our meat and vegetables have come from no more than nine miles away, while our milk comes from just next door! However, there are some things that we just cannot buy on Anglesey, so for all those more exotic items, like coffee, we only deal with Fair Trade suppliers.
Why not start your day with a full Welsh breakfast, all made from local produce, lunch could be a bowl of fresh soup with a freshly baked baguette, or even one of our ever changing range of daily specials. From around May to September we also produce a delicious range of butter fudge made by hand on site, please ask our chef for more details.
We have a range of healthy children's options including pastas, sustainably caught fishy stars, and even a pirates chest full of goodies like carrot and pepper planks and a toy! Organic baby food is always available and we're always happy to heat your own baby food and milk on request.
Lunches and themed suppers can also be booked for groups, and we also are happy to host and cater for your event or seminar. Recent customers have included the University of Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government, please contact us via the contact page or by telephone to discuss availability and menus. The Lighthouse Bistro is open daily from 10:00 but if you were to arrive early you might just get lucky!

We're a Great Place for an Undersea Birthday Party! All we need from you are a motley collection of young pirates and little mermaids!
Your child will love a marine themed birthday party at the Anglesey Sea Zoo. We have a choice of two menu's available and each partygoer leaves with a party Pirates Chest. The price includes a fishy chocolate birthday cake (normally not actually made with fish), use of the party room, and of course, access to the aquarium and the play area outside, including the octojumphugebouncy castle!
