2012

5th of April, The Flintrofts, Manchester
We thought the Sea Zoo had a wonderful and beautifully presented selection of local sea life. We also thought that the café served delicious food with a great selection.

10th of April, J Howson, Oxford
What a fantastic place. We’ve had a great time. The aquariums are very realistic and the bouncy castle and crazy golf a real hit. We’ll definitely be coming back next year. Thank you!

23rd of April, Charlotte Watterson, Buckley
We had a brilliant afternoon out, all staff were lovely and the gift shop is very reasonably priced, my food and pearl were also lovely. Shame its not closer to home!

24th of April, Emma and Mark, South Wales
Its my third visit in three years, coming from South Wales it’s a long way to travel, but I know the Sea Zoo will always be a memorable part of our holiday. Love it every time.

30th of April, Mike and Jan Croft, Exeterr
Just right. Everyone has a really nice attitude and its great to see how you are helping local sea life. Thanks!

1st of May, Tammilli Ashworth, Cardiff
Found the Sea Zoo interesting and good fun. Had seen the negative reviews on tripadvisor and other sites so was not sure. Spoke to people in the carpark who convinced me to try it for myself. Glad I did, fab!

21st of May, The Polhils, Northants
Its my son’s 2nd birthday today and the ladies in the café were very friendly, an kindly placed candles on our cake. This really made our day. All in all a lovely visit and day out. Thanks!

25th of May, Mark McNiell, Wirral
The highlight of our family holiday and our 23 month old daughter loved it! Will be visiting again, excellent facilities and great coffee!

8th of June, The Haddlingtons, Cambridge
Third visit, still very good for all ages. Like the new interactive island computer very much. Love the Seahorses and being able to really see the breeding prigrams. The café is good value for families and all staff very nice.

13th of July, Alasdair Shaw, Somerset
Very impressed. A couple of years ago we came here and my four year old daughter showed one of your biologists a mermaid’s purse that she had found on the beach. He told her all about it and took her to see the kind of shark that produced it. Thank you so much! Even the ‘educators’ at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth were less up to speed than your staff. I wish that you were near enough for the next time that I organise a school trip!

13th of July, Ruth Cave, Warrington
Had a great day out, really interesting. Great to see such a positive breastfeeding policy. Great food in the bistro. Thanks!

14th of July, Cy Banfield, Dorset
Very good just as you always are, well done. Very good idea allowing visitors to return for free in the same week, first place that I’ve ever seen do this, although I’ve no doubt that you’ll be copied soon …

25th of July, The Stephensons, Southport
Here with our daughter and grandsons. What a fantastic place, very interting and full of information. Very pleased to see that you sell fairtrade goods, the food was excellent!

2nd of August, Jenny Stevens, Kettering
A wonderful visit, we came twice it was so good! Food in the café was completely unexpectedly amazing, the Pint of Prawns kept my lovely son in law quiet for an hour! Result!

3rd of August, Tracey Leverett, Gateshead
This is our second visit and what has made this such an enjoyable and fascinating event is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Never too busy to stop and answer a question or share information. Their enthusiasm and knowledge were the key to our enjoyment. The Seashore Safari was also brilliant. Thank you.

20th of August, Natallie Towers, Caernarfon
Very interesting with lots and lots to learn! Such a shame to see how much the sea has given us but how little we’re giving back. So sad. Keep up the good work.

11th of September, Ruth and Paul Jordan, Chapel-en-le-Frith
A most enjoyable visit, fascinating and mind opening. May you go from strength to strength. Café and gift shop lovely too!

11th of September, Richard and Sue Rogers, Retford
Super place, well thought out and presented. Liked the ‘local’ approach to all the exhibits. Great music and food in the café! Will return and recommend.

15th of September, Chris William, London
Sadly I had to leave Holyhead 20 years ago to find work. This is my first visit to you and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Your emphasis on conservation is fantastic and the stimulus for youngsters is first rate! Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the food in the café great.

22nd of September, Alison Jardine, Wirral
I can’t thank you enough for such a fabulous day. Your staff are all so friendly and helpful and really made this experience. I celebrated my birthday here as a surprise and could not have had a better day. Feeding the fish was amazing and our party food delicious. Thank you so much for the best day out ever!

We love visiting the Anglesey Sea Zoo. It was always a welcome day out for me as a child, and now, as a father I enjoy bringing my own family. Thank you.

April 5th, K Sairinguro, Liverpool
Fantastic! Staff are really friendly and helpful. Bought a season ticket and will enjoy many more visits!

April 12th, S Woolworthy, Manchester
Very interesting, low tech but high value. Local British species, good to see research, breeding, conservation, and food preparation - often not on display at other aquaria, or even done at all. Lots of children seemed to be enjoying their day.

5th of May, Name Withheld, Anglesey
As a support worker out on a 1 to 1 trip, we found the Anglesey Sea Zoo very welcoming with all staff relaxed and informed. It was great to have free admittance as a carer and my charge for the day loved every part of the zoo.

20th of May, J Dixon, Manchester

We had a really great day - all members of family from 1 to 50! Something for everyone, friendly helpful staff. Fab for kids. Brill Brill Brill!

5th of August, Lynn Peake, Stoke-On-Trent
The Sea Zoo is one the best in Britain. Informative excellent exhibits, and so good for children too!

7th of August, Christine Newy, Wilts
Really enjoyed this visit and like the idea that you can return within seven days. Kept the children (aged 11 and 7) interested for hours.

14th of August, Maria Cutter, Coventry
My family and I are visiting North Wales for one week. Really enjoyed the Sea Zoo, and my son especially liked the Conger Eels. Clean tanks, happy fish, not over full. Good price on entrance especially as the ticket is valid for a week. We’ve been to the Birmingham Sea Life Centre and were not impressed as it was really expensive and their staff seemed to know nothing about fish, which looked unhappy in dirty tanks. Anglesey Sea Zoo has been a brilliant day out with a great café and gift shop, really helpful staff, and an excellent outdoor play area and crazy golf. The only downside is that it’s tricky to find.

17th of August, Mr V Coulter, West Midlands
This is the most informative and enjoyable places to visit in North Wales. The people are knowledgeable and happy, and the creatures are the most obviously active and happy I’ve seen. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

21st of August, Lowri a Catrin jones, Dyserth
Roeddwn yn meddwl ei fod yn dda iawn ahos roedd yn gyfle i weld am y tro cyntaf, y bywyd mor sydd o gwmpas Ynys Mon a gogledd Cymru. Bwyd da a staff cyfeillgar, wedi mwynhau!

27th of Anugust, Mrs H Bunka, Chapel-en-le-Frith
Well set out. A fun and enjoyable day for all from 4 years to 60 years.

We came to Anglesey for the day and it rained! Drove to the Anglesey Sea Zoo and it saved the day! Had a great time, very good exhibits and all the staff were fab! Especially liked the shark and ray pool feeding and talk.

We thought it was very interesting and leant a lot. The shark talk was very informative and well presented. Good to see the café stocked with local and fairtrade produce (this also tempted us to use the shop). We will be back.

Very good, in fact we think its better than ‘The Deep’ in Hull. Excellent!

You were quick to reply to my email and answer my questions before our visit, which was excellent. On our visit we were treated well by friendly staff and were very pleased with all the facilities, including the disabled toilet, and the dog pens. Very appreciated in the hot weather, both by us and the dogs. Very informative, lovely and clean, doing a great job!
