Diary - July 2019

Not long now until our summer activities start on July 20th! Grow our Starfish Army on Saturdays at 12.30pm, or make a colourful scallop (11am) or fingerprint animal (2.30pm) for the rest of the week! Activities are all in our white marquee tent on the inner yard, so just pop by!

Exciting news - our director Frankie received her Alumnus of the Year award from Bangor University today for her work here at the Sea Zoo!

Clawdette the orange European lobster has shed her shell ("moulted") and is now all soft and squishy, so she'll be recovering behind the scenes until her new shell has hardened - this may take a week or more. You can actually see bits of her old shell in the photo! Currently she's all shy as newly moulted lobsters are very vulnerable in the wild. The new bright orange shell is looking great though!

Anemones in our own seas are the stars of our director Frankie's this month's article in the North Wales Magazine!
