We are primarily a conservation centre first. We use our aquarium to raise funds for our many important conservation projects, so the main way you can support us is coming to visit and seeing all of our amazing exhibits first-hand. Unfortunately, as a business we cannot accept donations. However, our new charity – Conservation Centre Cymru – is currently in the process of being established and should be fully up and running within the next few months. This will allow our supporters to donate directly, which will be incredibly helpful to our work. Until then, other ways you can support us include adopting one of our animals, buying a gift voucher, purchasing an annual pass, or becoming a junior conservationist for a day.
Our adoption programme allows you to adopt absolutely anything that we have on display here for just £40! Each adoption pack includes an adoption certificate, a species factsheet, a free aquarium ticket for two, and your name up on the adoption plaque alongside the exhibit! To find out more, e-mail us at post@angleseyseazoo.co.uk, or call us on 01248 430411
Another way to support us is by becoming an annual pass holder! Starting at just £38, an annual pass gets you in as many times as you want for a whole year! Plus, a 10% discount in our shop, cafe, and on birthday parties and half price minigolf! Find out more here!
Do you know a young person (over the age of 10) who would enjoy our junior conservationist scheme? This allows them to get an experience like no other working in Anglesey Sea Zoo for a whole day that includes checking and taking the temperature and water quality of our tanks, preparing food for the animals in our care, working in the lobster hatchery, and maybe even meeting one of our more special guests like our sea turtles! Find out more about this here!
You can also visit the Café without enjoying the Aquarium (although we think that this would be a shame), however, while waiting for your freshly prepared meals, you’ll just have time to look around our Gift Shop, which is just next to the café!
We have worked hard to make sure the items we sell in our gift shop are as eco-friendly as possible. By working closely with our suppliers we have been able to change things over time so that all of our packaging is now recyclable and sustainable. We introduced our own plastic bag ban here at the Sea Zoo in 2008, three years before the rest of Wales, and seven years before England!
