Facilities at Anglesey Sea Zoo

Free parking

Parking in our car park is free of charge.

Disabled parking spaces

Four dedicated spaces for wheelchair users and blue badge holders are available, and all may be booked in advance. Please give us as much notice as possible. They are a maximum of 29 metres from the entrance to the Anglesey Sea Zoo, and minimally only 5 metres away.

Wheelchair access

The aquarium and outside areas are fully accessible to wheelchair users. The only steps in the building are those to access the pier tank from above, which can also be seen from a different angle below, and those to access the top deck in the Cafe. Click here for the Access Statement.

Playground & Bouncy Castle (Available from the 1st of April)

Our Adventure Playground and Bouncy Castle are free to all aquarium visitors! There is a maximum height limit of 120cm on the bouncy castle.

The bouncy castle must be supervised by Anglesey Sea Zoo staff – if you wish to use the bouncy castle and the attendant isn’t present, please enquire at the Admissions. Use of the bouncy castle is entirely at your own risk, and in the interest of safety parents must supervise their children at all times.

Please note that the bouncy castle may be unavailable during or just after bad weather. Over quieter periods outside the main holiday season the bouncy castle may only be available on weekends – please enquire at our Admissions if you have any questions.

Cpt Jake’s Crazy Golf

Golf prices: Adults £3.00, Children £2.00. If the golf shack is closed, the clubs and balls will be available from Admissions.

The Pirate Blaster

A coin-operated high-pressure pirate fun water jet blaster!

Toilets

Toilets are found by the Admissions desk and also at the Gift Shop. Wheelchair accessible toilets are available outside next to the main entrance.

Baby facilities

We have baby changing facilities in both Ladies toilets, as well as at the Gents toilets at the Gift Shop. The whole aquarium is accessible to pushchairs and prams. We are also happy to heat up your own baby food, just ask!

Dogs

Dogs are allowed outside on a lead, but not inside the building (apart from assistance dogs.) Dog pens and freshwater are provided outside to keep your pet cool on hot days.

The dog pens are found at the side of the parking lot, these can be used free of charge. If you need a padlock for the pen, you can borrow one from our Admissions for a £5 deposit. A freshwater tap is provided on the outside wall of the building near the main entrance.

Picnic tables

We have outdoor picnic tables so you can bring your own lunch! During the summer some of these will be under a marquee tent away from the rain. We also have a lean-to in the courtyard next to the turtle statue!

Gator Boats

Try to navigate a crocodile-infested swamp in our coin-operated remote-controlled boats!

Gift Shop

Anglesey’s best toy and gift shop! Everything from shark grabbers, toys and games, to nice but nautical household gifts, home-made fudge, a large selection of sweets, as well as books for all ages in both Welsh and English. You can even choose your very own pearl! For more information on our shop click here.

Coffee Shop

We offer a varied menu designed for all ages, from produce sourced mostly locally. Every meal is freshly prepared, so during busy periods there may be a short wait, but it is worth it! For more information click here.

Talks and Fish Feeds

We currently do 3 talks every day (with or without feeding:)

11.30am

1.30pm

3.30pm

The schedules for these are posted at the Admissions desk, as well as around the aquarium.

We can’t guarantee a feeding display every day, as the fishes’ appetite varies with water temperatures and the feeds need to be adjusted constantly. Most aquarium species eat a lot less during colder weather, so some feeds may not take place at certain times of the year. If a feed does take place, it’s usually during the 1.30pm talk.

The signs at the top of the main entrance and at our Food Prep area will tell you whether a feeding display is taking place that day and where. You’re also welcome to ask a member of staff or give us a call beforehand if you want to know which days we’re currently doing feeding displays!

During busy periods it’s advisable to be at the talks about 5-10 minutes in advance to ensure a good view. Our staff are also more than happy to chat with you and answer questions after the talks!
