To ensure your visit here at the Sea Zoo is as educational as possible there are worksheets available for ages 5-12 (KS1, Lower KS2, Upper KS2 and Year 7.) These workbooks are tailored to the curriculum set in 2015. All questions are designed to be answered during your visit, and as a result, answers are found whilst walking around the aquarium.

Please be aware these worksheets will not be available from the aquarium so ensure you have them printed and with you before your visit. Should you wish a copy of our workbooks for your visit please discuss this with a member of staff during the booking process.

Age 5-7 (Key Stage 1)

  • Identify a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals
  • Identify and name a variety of animals that are carnivores, omnivores and herbivores
  • Describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals
  • Compare differences between living, dead and things that have never lived
  • Describe habitats, how animals are adapted to their habitat and how they depend on one another
  • Simple food chains- describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals
  • Notice how animals have offspring
  • Know the basic needs of animals (water, food, air etc)
